Ascendant was founded by real estate agents / property industry professionals with many years of experience in valuations, commercial and residential real estate practice, institutional property management and research and real estate software design. It is also affiliated and works in conjunction with CPM Research which produces property data and property publications. Regular trips to the USA to attend real estate software technology conferences ( last visit June 2004 ) keep us up to date with systems and real estate software available worldwide in order to provide the best advice and practical systems which suit our clients needs.

A former commercial property valuer, asset manager, building manager, shopping centre manager, with experience in commercial and residential real estate, institutional firms and government organisations. He has worked with CB Richard Ellis, MCS Property, Hillier-Parker, Kliger-Wood Real Estate and many others.  In 1996 he founded an e-commerce company, Pacific Commerce, as Director of Sales and Marketing, that was later purchased primarily by the ANZ Bank and Venture Capital firms and still today deals with a large variety of Ecommerce systems and applications for companies across Australia. Nearly four years experience at Pacific Commerce highlighted an important factor - business people prefer and need IT solutions provided by a company that understands their clients business - this is Ascendant's main vision for the property industry. Gordon travels to the USA frequently to IT real estate conferences to not only keep up to date and build relationships with companies overseas and source the very best of breed for clients in the Asia-Pacific locale.
